Sketchbook Project 2012

My sketchbook for the Art House Co-op is still a work in progress, but for the most part, the only thing left to be done is the cover. I glued all the pages together and cut out the center, creating a frame. I then used several different acrylic mediums and paint to give it a stone like quality and sealed it. The type/page within the frame is from an 1860's french book, "Curiosités Théologiques", that was begging to be illustrated. The nude was painted with watercolor on paper and then cut and glued inside the sketchbook. Once the cover is complete, I'll post pictures of that as well.

  1. your book looks great! i need to finish the small stuff and get mine in the mail.

  2. Thanks Joseph! I added some wording to the inside and am finishing up the cover. Not too much more to do really. :)

  3. your art is great ! the colors that you use are full of energy and the strong lines that you made on your sketches made your picture lively and i like how she' s looking :) did you study art or something like that? .... if you are interested you could watch my blog and criticize my own paintings , it would be a honor for me :) ..... greetings from germany .... anna :)
