Just Another Manic Monday...

...Ok, not really but who's counting. Actually it's quite boring at work today so I decided to sketch. Sometime this weekend, I think it was Saturday, I was channel surfing and paused on a rerun of Gilmore Girls. They were at a Bangles concert. I guess it stuck with me and decided to sketch out Susanna Hoffs (80's version). At any rate, it kept me busy for a while.

These were done today at work too. The theme is Mardi Gras (I know, a little late or maybe I'm just early). I randomly draw little cartoon characters, usually in the margins of my sketch book. Goes to show there's still an animator buried somewhere inside.

i gotta hand it to you....my sketch book is like, all words. i never sketch, i always wanted to be an artist that sketched in her free time....i so don't do that with my sketchbook.
oh, btw, you were right, looks like i won the battle against my canadian foes. awesome.

  2. It's been a while since I've done anything in my sketch book. For some reason, I tend to draw on scrap pieces of paper and always forget about my book. I have tons of books half filled and then left to collect dust. I've just recently pulled them out and starting drawing in them again.

I'm so glad you won the battle. Sorry it had to go to such lengths for them to finally listen to you!

  3. well the good thing about every stupid thing in the world happening to me, is that i will tenaciously stand up for myself...and that has a trickle-down effect. i teach people lessons...i'm like a renegade. ha.

i think i just haven't found the right sketchbook yet.

  4. Cool sketches but surely you're too young to remeber the Bangles and that song? I've now got it going round my head!!!
